Great Grey Owl

     On a quiet winter afternoon, I wandered through the park at the very edge of a city. The sun sat high overhead, casting a lattice of tree shadows across the ground. I moved silently with my camera, lost in thought, when an unusual shape amidst the branches caught my eyeIt was my first time encountering a majestic Great Grey Owl.

     Perched silently on a low branch, its eyes—a piercing shade of gold—met mine. Time seemed to pause as I absorbed this rare beauty. The city faded away, leaving only this serene encounter between the owl and me.

    I carefully raised my camera and pressed the shutter button. The owl turned its head slightly to acknowledge our brief, shared moment.
